Karachi family appeals for help after burglars steal cash, gold and wedding items

A family in Karachi has appealed for help after burglars allegedly broke into their apartment and stole cash, gold jewellery, electronic and wedding items worth millions of rupees.

According to the complainant, Abdul Khaliq, the theft took place at his apartment near Power House Chowrangi, North Karachi at around 6pm on Saturday, July 4, while he and his family were away on a picnic.

The stolen items include gold jewellery, women's bridal dresses, new men's and children's clothing, electronic appliances, a mobile phone and Rs450,000 in cash.

Abdul Khaliq said his daughter's wedding is scheduled to take place in three months and the wedding hall has already been booked. He said the theft has left the family devastated.

He added that CCTV footage showing the suspected burglar has been obtained and appealed to the public to help identify the suspect and assist in his arrest.
