Karachi gets drenched in first winter rain, temperatures drop

The first spell of winter rains has drenched the areas of Karachi last night and this morning, resulting in a temperature drop.

Light to moderate rainfall occurred at Old City area, Lyari, Keamari, Mauripur, DHA, Clifton, Saddar, North Nazimabad, Malir, and Mehmoodabad. 

There has been no official information reported by the Met Department about the intensity of rainfall that has been registered; but rain has been experienced in almost all parts of the Karachi Metropolitan City.

Already, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted rain along with thunderstorms, snow fall on hills, for most parts of the country, earlier this week.

For Sindh, it has predicted isolated light rainfall/sprinkles for Karachi, Hyderabad, Dadu, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, Thatta, and Badin on Dec 30 (Tuesday
