Karachi orders fines via photos instead of towing motorcycles from no-parking areas

KARACHI: DIG Traffic Pir Muhammad Shah has directed that if motorcycles are parked in no-parking zones, they should not be lifted.

While addressing traffic police officials, DIG Traffic Pir Muhammad Shah said that in no case should motorcycles be lifted, and a policy has been formed in this regard.

He said that if a person mistakenly parks his bike in the wrong zone, the traffic police should chain the motorcycle, call the Robo Car officer, take pictures, and impose a fine on the bike.

DIG Traffic also said that if a motorcycle does not have a number plate, it should be impounded and not be released until a number plate is fixed on it. Cases should be reported to him.
