Karachi police arrest man for sexually abusing dead women in graveyards

KARACHI: A suspect has been arrested in connection with the desecration of graves and the sexual abuse of deceased women in Karachi's cemeteries.

According to police, the suspect confessed to desecrating four graves belonging to women and committing sexual acts with the corpses.

The individual, apprehended at the Bagh Korangi Cemetery, provided a chilling account of his actions, admitting to targeting fresh graves of women, exhuming the bodies, and sexually abusing them.

Authorities revealed that the suspect had a previous encounter with locals in 2016, when he was caught in a graveyard in Korangi No. 01 for similar offenses. A case has now been registered at the Awami Colony Police Station, and further investigations are ongoing.

In a related incident on June 22, a disturbing report emerged from Lahore, where the body of a three-month-old child disappeared just hours after burial.

This shocking event took place in Lahore's Miani Sahib Graveyard, where a grieving family buried their three-month-old child, only to find the grave empty shortly after.
