Kohat roof collapse during rainfall kills 11, including women and children

A roof collapse during heavy rainfall in Kohat has claimed the lives of 11 people, including women and children, while 12 others were injured after being trapped under the debris.
The incident occurred on Monday in the mountainous village of Malgin, located on the outskirts of Kohat, where the roof of a mud-built house collapsed due to intense rain.
According to rescue officials, the death toll from the incident has risen to 11. The victims include women and children.
Rescue officials said that a gathering was taking place inside the house at the time of the collapse. The injured were pulled out from the debris, provided with initial medical assistance, and shifted to different hospitals for treatment.
Officials added that a large number of women and children were among those injured.
Meanwhile, in Attock, a wall collapsed due to rainfall, injuring five people.
In the tribal areas of Dera Ghazi Khan, flash floods occurred in seasonal streams following heavy rains. Rainfall also caused power outages in several areas of Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Muzaffargarh.
