LARKANA: A man hailing from Sindh's Larkana reached Philippines to his wife after marrying her on a video call, last year in September.

Oshaq Shaikh, a Ghazi Abbas Colony resident, married Mikona on a video call after years of friendship on Facebook.

According to FB Page Larkana Times, after months of struggle to get a visa, Oshaq reached the Philippines. Shaikh said, Mikona sent visa and ticket to her Pakistani husband to come to Philippines. 

The nikah ceremony took place at a local hotel where relatives, friends and his family participated.

In the ceremony, the Filipino girl Mikuna was married through a video call. After the marriage, the family, friends and loved ones congratulated Sheikh and they also garlanded him and they took selfies.

Revealing his friendship journey with Mikona, Sheikh said a year ago they contacted on Facebook which turned into friendship and love as well.
