Nine-year-old girl found hanging in Karachi’s Lyari

Karachi: Police recovered the body of a nine-year-old girl hanging from the roof of a house in Lyari 51-C, officials said on Monday.

According to police, the minor allegedly took her own life, reportedly distressed by frequent arguments between her parents. 

Authorities said initial findings suggest the child may have been upset over her parents’ behaviour.

Investigators have shifted the body for post-mortem examination and further inquiry is underway to determine the circumstances leading to the death.

The body of an unidentified woman was found near Margalla Hills, approximately 1.5 kilometers from the popular Monal restaurant.

The victim was allegedly gunned down by unknown assailants, said police.

The Kohsar Police, led by Station House Officer (SHO) Shafqat Fayaz, reached the scene and transported the body to Polyclinic Hospital for further examination and autopsy.

As part of their investigation, authorities collected fingerprint samples from the deceased to aid in identification.

The motive behind the murder and the identity of the perpetrators remain unknown.

 Police officials are urging anyone with information regarding the suspect or circumstances surrounding the crime to come forward.
