Petitioner dies of heart attack after case adjournment in SC

A 70-year-old Rawalpindi resident, Abid Hussain, passed away due to a heart attack outside the Supreme Court (SC) after case adjournment. 

Abid Hussain’s case regarding the construction of his house was pending before the Supreme Court.

Upon returning from the court, he suffered a heart attack at the Supreme Court reception area and was pronounced dead during transfer to the hospital.

The hearing for his case, which was scheduled before a two-member bench comprising Justice Irfan Saadat Khan and Justice Shehzad Malik, was today adjourned.

The case, filed on July 22, 2024, was first heard on November 11, 2025, and was listed under serial number 8 as Muhammad Ramzan vs. Abid Hussain. Today marked the second hearing of the case.
