Policeman, his private guard rape female student in Sargodha

In a shocking incident, a female student was gang-raped by an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and his private guard in Sargodha, police said on Monday.

According to police, the distressing incident took place within the jurisdiction of Kotmomin police station.

The victim girl said that her father was arrested by the suspects in a drug case.

The rape victim further informed that she was called by the private guard of the policeman to discuss the acquittal of her father.

"The ASI and his private guard took [me] to an empty house in the Muazzamabad town," Geo News quoted the victim as saying.

Later, the medico-legal report confirmed that the girl was raped by the suspects.

The victim's father said that the suspects had left his daughter outside his house in a car in a semi-conscious state.

A two-member committee was formed by the district police officer (DPO) to investigate the matter and the cop was suspended from his service.

DPO ordered the committee to submit its report within 24 hours.

However, the police are conducting raids to arrest the culprits.
