Policeman, his son brutally torture 16-year-old student in Karachi

In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old student was brutally tortured by a policeman and his son over a minor dispute in Karachi.

According to the details, the incident took place near Perfume Chowk in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of the port city on May 22.

The video of the distressing incident also went viral on social media, in which some men could be seen assaulting the young boy.

Sources said a verbal spat erupted between the victim, Abdul Rehman, and the police inspector's son after a matriculation exam in Karachi.

However, the matter was resolved by the fellow classmates of the two boys, sources added.

Enraged over the matter, the police official, identified as Abdul Rauf, called Rehman to meet in person.

When the victim boy reached the area, Rauf and his son, along with their accomplices, brutally tortured Rehman, while the bystanders recorded the incident instead of saving the child from the mob.

The victim got severe injuries in the one-sided clash and was shifted to a nearby hospital for medical assistance.

Rehman's father, Raja Rustam, said that the case was registered against the police officer and his son, but "the law enforcers were forcing him to withdraw the case".
