A seven-year-old girl who went missing on Sunday night from outside her house was found dead at an under-construction site in the Mandra neighborhood of Rawalpindi. The victim's family demanded an investigation into the death of the minor.

The police said Shafaq disappeared while playing outside her home. Her body was found at an empty house at 10:30 pm.

The victim's father, Nauman Farzan Masih, told the police they were celebrating Easter at home when the girl went outside to play but did not return to her home. The family looked for the girl in the neighborhood.

When Nauman reached the top floor of an under-construction house in the same neighborhood, he saw his daughter lying dead in a room.

The girl lay dead with injuries on her forehead and neck, while she was half-naked.

The father of the deceased girl demanded strict legal action by authorities, stating that his daughter was abducted and unjustly murdered by an unknown person who allegedly raped her.

After collecting evidence from the scene, the police transported the victim's body to the civil hospital of Gujjar Khan.

The police registered a case under Section 364A for the kidnapping of the girl, Section 376iii for the alleged rape of the girl, and Section 302 for murder.

Police officials said that the girl’s postmortem had been conducted and the samples were sent to the laboratory for forensics, and further investigation is underway.

The victim's heirs said they waited at the hospital throughout the night, but the forensic team was unavailable.

The police and parents were told by the Punjab Forensic Science Agency that their team was in Attock. A postmortem was conducted when the team arrived, and the body was handed over to the family.
