Imran Khan’s sons cite visa delays, arrest fears ahead of Pakistan visit

Sulaiman Khan, son of former prime minister Imran Khan, has said he and his brother have faced repeated difficulties in obtaining visas to travel to Pakistan and meet their father.

He, along with his brother Kasim, was speaking to Sky Sports, during its coverage of the first day’s play at Lord’s.

Speaking about their efforts to visit the former premier, Sulaiman acknowledged that there could be a risk of arrest upon their arrival in the country. However, he said their primary objective was simply to see their father.

According to the brothers, they have made several attempts to secure permission to travel to Pakistan, but their visa applications were either rejected or delayed, which they attributed to what they described as “technical reasons.”

They also alleged that government ministers had issued warnings suggesting they could face arrest if they travelled to Pakistan.

Despite these concerns, Sulaiman said the brothers remained focused on meeting their father. He emphasized that their intention was not to become involved in political matters but to visit Imran Khan personally.

Khan has been in solitary confinement for three years. Lawyers have described his living conditions as slow-motion murder, his sister claimed he has been tortured and 21 former cricketers including Atherton have campaigned for him to be treated humanely.
