Sindh CM orders suspension of officials over boy's death in Nipa manhole

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday ordered the suspension of all officials responsible for the death of a three-year-old boy, who died after falling into an open manhole near Nipa Chowrangi.
The directive came in a high-level meeting chaired by the chief minister to discuss the incident. It was attended by provincial ministers, officials of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), town administration, revenue department, and police.
Expressing his grief over the tragedy, CM Shah said: “We are deeply saddened by the child’s death. Strict action must be taken against anyone found negligent. It is regrettable to shift blame onto each other.”

According to media reports, the chief minister instructed that all relevant officials be suspended immediately. He also directed the Sindh chief secretary to take action against the responsible officers without delay.
They said that officials of KMC, town administration, and the Water Corporation will face disciplinary action. The Assistant Commissioner and Mukhtiarkar of Gulshan-e-Iqbal have already been suspended in connection with the case.
