Two rare deer recovered from smugglers in Khairpur

KHAIRPUR: Two rare deer seized from smugglers in Khairopur and a case filed against one of the suspects by Sindh Wildlife Department.

According to an official of Sindh Wildlife Department, an operation was conducted following a tip regarding the seizure of wildlife. A team of Sindh Wildlife Department was deployed on the Khairopur-Umerkot road near Dua Hotel on the basis of tip.

Following that, a suspicious vehicle coming from New Chhor to Umerkot was stopped and searched.

It is pertinent to mention here that two rare deer were found in the vehicle. Two rare deer have been taken into custody and shifted to another place.

According to the official, a case has been filed against the suspect under Sindh Wildlife Act and legal action has been initiated.

According to him, all necessary steps are being taken for the protection, examination, and care of the seized wildlife.

It may be mentioned here that strict action would be taken against those who indulge themselves in the smuggling, sale, and hunting of wildlife.
