A villager reportedly lost his life after being hit by an Arab prince vehicle in Sindh's Khairpur.
According to regional media reports, the Arab prince was in Khairpur to hunt precious birds, when the incident occurred.
Motorcylist named Sarwar son of Ameer Bux Mangrio was on his way to Qaddan Palace in Khairpur, when he was reportedly hit by a speeding vehicle of the Arab prince, who was moving to hunt in the area.
The man lost his life on the spot while Bohran, who was travelling with him sustained wounds.
The heirs of the deceased staged a sit-in along with the body. In a video making rounds on social media, the heirs can be seen demanding registration of case against the culprits.
Arab princes use to come to Pakistan to hunt migratory birds Houbara bustards, which fly from Central Asia to Pakistan.
According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Houbara bustard is listed as a vulnerable species, with a global population ranging from 50,000 to 100,000, Reuters reported earlier.
Back in 2016, the Supreme Court of Pakistan had lifted a ban on hunting the bird after the government argued it hurt relations with Gulf states, whose wealthy hunters traditionally travel to Pakistan to pursue the endangered species with falcons.
