Shaza Fatima says no restrictions on freedom of expression in Pakistan

Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunications Shaza Fatima has said that there are no restrictions on freedom of expression on any platform in Pakistan.

Speaking during Geo News’ programme Geo Pakistan, Shaza Fatima said the opening of a Google office in Pakistan would benefit the country’s economy.

She said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was expected to share more positive news regarding the IT sector.

She added that young people had also welcomed Google’s arrival in Pakistan and expressed hope that more international IT companies would establish offices in the country.

Shaza Fatima reiterated that there were no restrictions on freedom of expression on any platform in Pakistan.
