A consumer protection court in Tando Muhammad Khan sentenced four officials of WAPDA to one year in prison and imposed fines over the electrocution of three buffaloes due to fallen power lines.

According to details, the Civil Judge (Consumer Protection) Hira ruled in favor of the plaintiff and found the WAPDA officials guilty of negligence that led to the incident.

The convicted individuals include Executive Engineer Juman Jamali, SDO Imran Awan, Line Superintendent Imdad Memon, and Lineman Akhtar Memon, all of whom have been sentenced to one year in prison along with a fine of PKR 100,000 each.

Following the court ruling, the four officials were transferred to jail to serve their sentence.
