Water tanker crushes another motorcyclist in Karachi's Manghopir

A 40-year-old man lost his life in a deadly accident in Karachi’s Manghopir, where a water tanker ran over a motorcyclist who was riding home after leading Tarawih prayers, according to police.
The deceased, identified as Ibrahim, was a resident of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and served as an Imam at a mosque in Karachi. A father of two, he met with the accident on Wednesday night after Tarawih.
According to police, Ibrahim, a Hafiz-e-Quran, was on his way home when a speeding water tanker hit his motorcycle and ran over him. He died on the spot, while the driver managed to escape.

The water tanker was taken into police custody and shifted to the police station. Meanwhile, police were attempting to determine the driver's whereabouts.
Ibrahim's body was sent to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for burial.
Notably, since the beginning of the week, at least six lost their life in colliding with heavy vehicles, including a pregnant woman and her infant, who did not survive after being delivered during the crash.
In a similar incident in Karachi’s Karsaz, a husband and wife were killed when a speeding car hit their motorcycle while they were on their way home.

According to eyewitnesses, two cars were racing from the airport when a white vehicle collided with the couple's motorcycle.
The car’s tyre burst shortly after the crash, bringing it to a halt. Citizens at the scene caught the driver as he attempted to flee and handed him over to the police.
