Woman allegedly throws acid on man after he refuses marriage in Peshawar

A woman allegedly threw acid on a man after he refused to marry her in Peshawar's Chamkani, the police said.

According to the police, a first information report (FIR) has been registered at the Chamkani police station and an investigation is underway.

The FIR states that the 26-year-old victim, identified as Siddiq Ullah, was friends with the woman. The police said that the woman allegedly became enraged after he refused her marriage proposal and threw acid on him.

According to the FIR, the woman allegedly also opened fire on Siddiq Ullah after the acid attack, injuring him.

The police said that all aspects of the incident are being investigated and further action would be taken against the suspect in accordance with the law.
