Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi wins Gold in ITF Masters

Pakistan’s Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, partnering with France’s Magalie Girard, secured another gold medal in the ITF Masters 40+ World Championship Mixed Doubles category in Manavgat, Turkey.
In a gripping final, the duo staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Germany’s Katharina Rath and Andreas Thivessen 7-5, 6-3. Trailing 5-2 in the first set, Aisam and Girard turned the match around, winning five consecutive games to take the set before dominating the second.
Expressing his joy, Aisam dedicated the victory to Pakistan.
“I am overjoyed and humbled by this triumph! Seeing the Pakistan flag fly high on the international stage is a testament to our country’s resilience and spirit,” he said.

This win follows another historic achievement by Aisam and his long-time doubles partner Aqeel Khan, who clinched gold in the Men’s 45+ Doubles category just a day earlier.
The Pakistani pair outclassed Finland’s Lauri Kiiski and Sweden’s Andreas Lindgren 7-6 (13-11), 6-0, displaying their signature aggression and teamwork.
