London: The historic Lord’s Cricket Ground resonated with the call to prayer as part of the Ramadan Tent Project’s Open Iftar event.

Hundreds of people attended the gathering, where they were informed about the significance of fasting and the truth of Islam.

At the time of Maghrib Azan, even non-Muslim attendees broke their fast with dates.

Founder and CEO of the Ramadan Tent Project, Omar Salha, stated that the purpose of Open Iftar is to bring diverse communities together.

He expressed gratitude to King Charles for allowing an iftar at Windsor Castle, adding that Britain’s multicultural society is a source of pride, and such initiatives help foster unity and understanding.

England cricketer Saqib Mahmood also attended the event, while participants described the experience of breaking their fast together as remarkable.

It is noteworthy that the Ramadan Tent Project has been organizing iftar gatherings at significant locations across the UK for the past 13 years.

Last week, King Charles also opened the doors of his royal residence for a special iftar gathering.
