The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have reached an agreement confirming a three-match T20 International series to be played in Lahore.
The decision was finalized after high-level discussions in Dubai between PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, BCB Chairman Nazmul Abedin, and BCB President Faruque Ahmed. Initially, a five-match series was planned, but logistical and security considerations led to a reduction to three matches.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed appreciation for Bangladesh’s commitment to fulfilling their tour obligations and reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to promoting international cricket at home.
Bangladesh will be led by wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das, who was named T20I captain earlier this year following the resignation of Najmul Hossain Shanto. Off-spinner Mahedi Hasan will serve as vice-captain for both the UAE and Pakistan tours.
The series had previously faced uncertainty due to regional tensions and the mid-season suspension of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Bangladesh was originally scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on May 21 for a five-match series in Faisalabad, beginning May 25. However, the revised schedule now features all matches in Lahore.
The finalised tour adds to Pakistan’s home international calendar and reinforces PCB’s efforts to sustain bilateral cricket ties despite geopolitical and logistical challenges.
