Dubai police issue guidelines ahead of Pakistan-India Asia Cup 2025 clash

As excitement builds for the Asia Cup clash between Pakistan and India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, UAE authorities have called on fans to maintain discipline and sportsmanship.
Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations at Dubai Police and head of the Events Security Committee (ESC), said police units are fully prepared to manage security for all Asia Cup 2025 fixtures. He warned that any attempt to compromise safety would be dealt with firmly, with strict legal consequences for violators.
Highlighting the Federal Law on the Security of Sports Facilities and Events, Al Mazrouei reminded spectators that unlawful actions carry significant penalties. Unauthorized entry onto the field or possession of banned items such as fireworks could lead to jail terms of one to three months and fines ranging from Dh5,000 to Dh30,000.
Acts of violence, throwing objects, or using abusive or racist language could result in prison sentences and fines of Dh10,000 to Dh30,000.

The ESC urged fans to plan ahead by arriving at least three hours before kick-off, validating tickets before entry, and avoiding multiple entries with the same pass. Spectators were also reminded not to park vehicles haphazardly or obstruct nearby roads.
Prohibited items at the stadium include fireworks, flammable materials, lasers, umbrellas, oversized cameras, selfie sticks, sharp objects, toxic substances, flags, banners, pets, remote-controlled gadgets, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and glass containers.
Al Mazrouei underlined that these restrictions are designed to safeguard players, officials, and spectators, ensuring a secure and enjoyable environment for all.
