England all-rounder Chris Woakes has announced his retirement from international cricket, bringing an end to a career spanning 15 years across all formats.

Woakes represented England in 62 Test matches, scoring 2,034 runs and taking 192 wickets. In One-Day Internationals (ODIs), he played 121 games, amassing 1,524 runs and claiming 173 wickets. He also featured in 33 T20 Internationals, where he scored 147 runs and took 31 wickets.

Reflecting on his career, Woakes said representing England had always been a source of pride and inspiration. “Playing for England has been incredibly special.

The time I’ve spent with England cricket and my teammates over the past 15 years is something I will always be proud of,” he said.

Woakes, who was part of England’s 2019 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup-winning squad, earned a reputation as a reliable all-rounder with both bat and ball.

His retirement marks the end of an era for England cricket, as he leaves behind a record of consistent performances in key matches.
