Muhammad Saqib, a rising star from Karachi, has made Pakistan proud by clinching a Gold medal at the GAMMA World Championship 2024.

Competing in both the senior and U-18 categories, Saqib's victory is a significant milestone for Pakistan in the field of mixed martial arts (MMA).

The championship, being held in Indonesia from December 8-14, 2024, features fighters from 78 countries, with Saqib standing out as the only Pakistani participant in the U-18 category.

His path to the Gold medal included tough challenges, defeating skilled opponents like Maksym Shyshkhanyah from Ukraine in the semifinals and Akezhan Magperov from Kazakhstan in the final.

Saqib trains at the Badshah Wushu MMA Academy in Bhakar Goth, Karachi, under the expert guidance of his coach, Imran Qasim.

This achievement not only highlights Saqib's individual talent but also signals the growing strength of Pakistan's MMA scene.

The event will continue December 14, with the official ceremony for the U-18 competition taking place on December 10.
