No Pakistani representation in Champions Trophy 2025 'Team of the Tournament'

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the Team of the Tournament for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, featuring five Indian players following their title-winning campaign.
New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner has been named captain of the squad.
New Zealand has four representatives, including Player of the Tournament Rachin Ravindra, while Afghanistan, making its debut in the competition, has two players in the lineup.
No Pakistani player was included in the selection.
Ravindra, the tournament’s highest run-scorer with 263 runs, is joined by Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran at the top order.
India’s Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul make up the middle order, with Rahul also serving as wicketkeeper. Glenn Phillips of New Zealand, recognized for his batting and fielding contributions, is placed at number six.
Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai is the designated all-rounder, while Santner, who claimed nine wickets, leads the squad.
India’s Mohammed Shami, New Zealand’s Matt Henry, and India’s Varun Chakravarthy form the bowling attack, with Axar Patel named as the 12th man.
The team was selected by a panel consisting of former cricketers, commentators, an ICC official, and a journalist.
