Organisers of the Asia Cup 2025 have slashed ticket prices for the upcoming India-Pakistan match in Dubai after sales failed to meet expectations despite the global anticipation surrounding the contest.
The high-profile T20 fixture is scheduled to take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, September 14. Standard tickets, originally priced at 475 dirhams, have now been reduced to 350 dirhams following complaints from fans regarding affordability. Premium enclosure tickets have been the slowest to sell, with many seats still available less than a week before the match.
Officials expressed surprise at the lack of demand, given the historic rivalry between the two sides, which typically attracts full houses and massive viewership worldwide.
India heads into the contest with momentum after defeating the UAE by nine wickets in their opening match, dismissing the hosts for just 57 runs before chasing the target in 4.3 overs. Pakistan, meanwhile, will begin their campaign against Oman on Friday at the same venue before taking on India.
The two sides have met 13 times in T20 internationals, with India winning 10 matches and Pakistan securing three victories. Their most recent encounter took place during the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai in February, where India recorded a six-wicket win.
