Pakistan secured the T20 series by defeating Australia in the second match at Lahore's Qaddafi Stadium.

The Shaheens, after batting first, set a target of 199 runs, and in response, Australia were bowled out for just 108. This marks Pakistan’s first T20 series triumph over Australia in seven years.

The second T20 clash, held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, saw Pakistan dominate from start to finish. Following an impressive batting performance, the spinners took centre stage, dismantling Australia’s batting line-up.

Winning the toss, Pakistan opted to bat first. Opener Sahibzada Farhan fell early in the second over for 17 runs, but Saem Ayub and captain Salman Ali Agha took on the Kangaroo bowlers with authority.

Ayub was dismissed in the sixth over when the team total reached 72, and shortly after, Babar Azam also departed.

Captain Salman Ali Agha maintained an aggressive approach throughout, scoring a brilliant 76 runs and helping the team reach a total of 125 before he too was dismissed.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Usman Khan contributed a splendid 53 runs, while Shadab Khan remained unbeaten on 28 and Mohammad Nawaz on 9.

Pakistan set Australia a challenging target of 199 runs from their allotted overs. Apart from Matthew Short, every Australian batsman was dismissed by a different bowler.

From the outset of the second innings, Australian batsmen struggled under pressure. Pakistani bowlers quickly removed the openers, with captain Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head returning to the pavilion at just 22 runs.

In the very next over, Josh Inglis was also dismissed, and Matt Renshaw and Cooper Connolly failed to settle at the crease.

Cameron Green and Matthew Short attempted to steady the innings, but both fell to Pakistan’s spin attack. Only four Australian batsmen managed to reach double figures.

The entire Australian team was bowled out by the 16th over, allowing Pakistan to clinch the T20 series against Australia for the first time in seven years.

Pakistan had won the first match of the series by 22 runs, and the final encounter will also be played in Lahore.
