Pakistani boxer Shahir Afridi has made the country proud by defeating Indian opponent Ronat Solanki to claim the Asian champion title in the professional middleweight category.

The thrilling match was held in Bangkok, Thailand, on Saturday where Afridi knocked out his Indian counterpart in the third round.

Previously, the athlete had also secured the ABF and WBC Asia titles.

With this victory, he became one of the few boxers to hold three Asian titles simultaneously for Pakistan.

Afridi, who is also an RRF Police commando, made a grand entry into the ring donning Sindhi Ajrak and the Pakistani flag, showcasing his national pride.

 

The achievement has earned him a spot among the elite list of Pakistani boxers who have brought glory to the country in the sport.
