Pakistani fighters secure MMA championship titles with victories over Indian rivals

In another global sports achievement, Pakistani fighters Mehmosh Raza and Rafiq Afridi clinched titles in the featherweight and bantamweight categories in international mixed martial arts championship by defeating their Indian competitors.
In the featherweight category, Mehmosh Raza claimed victory over India’s Ravi Saw, securing the title for Pakistan.
Meanwhile, in the bantamweight category, Pakistan’s Rafiq Afridi triumphed over India’s Pradeep Hooda to win the title.
Pakistani fighters dominated other bouts as well, with Ijaz Ahmed defeating India’s Ankit Gujjar, Mujahid Baig overcoming Rajveer, and Musab Asif defeating Afghanistan’s Wahid Ahmadi.
In two of the matches, Afghan fighters emerged victorious, with Samir Nusrat and Amil Siddiqui representing Afghanistan successfully.
Recently, Manisha Ali, the student of Garrison University Lahore clinched gold for Pakistan at the KASAD’s 6th Asian Taekwondo Championship, adding another feather to the varsity cap.
Manisha won the gold at the +73kg-category contest in Tangerang, Indonesia, where she outshone hundreds of athletes from all over the world.
Her sister, Maliha Ali also secured the bronze in the 73kg category. The event, hosted at the Indore Stadium Sports Center, witnessed tough competition.
Earlier, Pakistani martial artist Shahzeb Khan secured the gold medal after defeating the Philippines' Calamba in the final of the -54kg category at the Asia Open Kyorugi Taekwondo Championship.
