The Pakistan cricket team’s kit launch for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup has been cancelled, sources confirmed.
According to sources, the unveiling of the national team’s World Cup kit was scheduled to take place after the toss of Pakistan’s second T20 International against Australia. However, the event was called off at the last moment due to what were described as “unavoidable reasons”.
Sources said the decision to cancel the launch may also be linked to the absence of a final decision regarding Pakistan’s participation in the upcoming T20 World Cup. They added that uncertainty over whether Pakistan will take part in the tournament or opt for a boycott could have contributed to the postponement of the kit unveiling.
No official statement has so far been issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the cancellation or the team’s participation in the World Cup.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to be held later this year, with several teams already unveiling their official kits ahead of the tournament. Pakistan’s kit launch is now expected to take place at a later date, subject to clarity on the team’s participation.
