The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has received bids from 12 parties for the sale of two new Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises.
According to the PCB, the bidders are from five countries, including Pakistan, the United States, Australia, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), highlighting the growing international interest and commercial appeal of the PSL.
Pakistan-based solar energy company Inverex Power Solution confirmed that it will participate in the bidding for one of the new teams.
The PCB said that the results of the first phase of the tender process will be announced on December 27. Bidders who meet the technical criteria will then move to the next stage, which will involve an open competitive bidding process for the two new franchises.
This round is scheduled to take place on January 8 at the Islamabad Convention Centre.
The board emphasised that the process will be conducted transparently and competitively, following international standards, to ensure the long-term growth and expansion of the Pakistan Super League.
