The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has indefinitely postponed the remaining eight matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 due to escalating security concerns along the India-Pakistan border.
The decision comes after increased hostilities, including Indian drone incursions and missile strikes, which the PCB described as "reckless aggression."
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif advised the postponement, stating national attention must remain focused on Pakistan's armed forces.
The tournament was in its final stages, with Quetta Gladiators leading the standings. Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, and Lahore Qalandars were also playoff contenders, while Multan Sultans had been eliminated.
The PCB expressed solidarity with military personnel and acknowledged concerns from foreign players and their families regarding safety.
Recent clashes saw Pakistan down five Indian jets, including three French-made Rafales, and over 70 drones following an Indian cross-border attack that killed 31 civilians on May 7.
No reschedule date has been announced for the remaining matches, including the playoffs and final. The board thanked franchises, players, and fans for their support while emphasizing the need to prioritize national security.
