Lahore: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has announced the auction date for the Multan Sultans franchise.

According to PSL officials, the auction will be held on 9 February in Lahore.

Five bidders will compete for the ownership rights of Multan Sultans, all of whom were selected by the PCB’s bid committee.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said it received six proposals within the stipulated time, and after a detailed and transparent review, five bidders were technically cleared to participate in the auction.

It is worth noting that the former owner of Multan Sultans, Ali Tareen, had declined to renew the 10-year ownership agreement, prompting the PCB to announce the franchise auction.
