Lahore Qalandars defeated Islamabad United in the second eliminator of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) X to book their place in the tournament's final.

The match was played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, where Lahore Qalandars won the toss and elected to bat first. The team got off to a cautious start, with opener Fakhar Zaman dismissed early after scoring just 12 runs.

 

Mohammad Naeem and Abdullah Shafique stabilised the innings with scores of 50 and 25 runs respectively. The highlight of Lahore’s batting was Kusal Perera, who played a crucial knock of 61 runs, helping his team reach a competitive total of 202 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Islamabad United struggled to gain momentum in their chase. Lahore Qalandars’ bowlers maintained control throughout the innings. Pacer Tymal Mills was instrumental in the victory, claiming three key wickets, while Salman Irshad supported with two dismissals.

 

With this win, Lahore Qalandars advanced to the PSL 10 final and will now compete for the championship title against Quetta on Sunday.
