Pakistan registered their second triumph of the tri-nation T20 series after defeating Sri Lanka by seven wickets in Rawalpindi.

Chasing a target of 129, Pakistan cruised to victory in 15.3 overs, losing only three wickets. Sahibzada Farhan led the charge with an outstanding 80 off 45 balls, hitting six fours and five sixes.

Saim Ayub scored 20, while Babar Azam contributed 16 before being dismissed. Salman Ali Agha was out without scoring.

For Sri Lanka, Dushmantha Chameera picked up two wickets and Dasun Shanaka claimed one.

Earlier, Sri Lanka posted 128 for seven in their allotted overs after opting to bat first. Janith Liyanage top-scored with 41, followed by Kusal Perera with 25. Kamindu Mendis added 22 and Pathum Nissanka made 17.

Mohammad Nawaz was the pick of Pakistan’s bowlers, finishing with three wickets.

Pakistan made one change in their lineup after Shaheen Afridi was ruled out due to a foot injury. Salman Mirza was drafted into the playing XI in his place. According to the cricket board, Shaheen’s participation was subject to fitness clearance.
