Batter Azam Khan has reportedly been dropped from Pakistan's playing XI for their match against India today at the Nassau County International Stadium in New York.

Due to his ongoing poor performance, the Pakistan team has decided to replace Azam Khan with all-rounder Imad Wasim for this highly anticipated clash against India.

This decision follows Khan's performance against the USA, where he was dismissed for a duck on the first ball. His struggles continued in the T20I series, and he was unable to score in Pakistan’s final match of the three-match series against Ireland.

Similarly, in the final match of the four-match T20I series against England, Khan was dismissed for 0 off 5 deliveries. At 25 years old, he has faced criticism for both his physical fitness and on-field performance.

Sources indicate that team captain Babar Azam and coach Gary Kirsten have lost confidence in Khan, especially after he was observed standing idle during net practice and not given a single ball to play.

Meanwhile, skipper Babar Azam and wicket-keeper Muhammad Rizwan will open the innings against India.
