Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, accompanied by Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, conducted surprise visits to several police stations across Karachi, inspecting facilities and reviewing the treatment of citizens and detainees.

During the inspections, the minister reportedly took action over alleged negligence and poor management at multiple stations.

The SHO and entire staff of Aziz Bhatti Police Station were suspended, while all staff at Shahrah-e-Faisal Police Station were also removed from duty.

At Ferozabad Police Station, personnel found performing their duties without uniforms were suspended.

Lanjar also spoke with citizens present at the stations, listened to their complaints and directed police officials to resolve their issues immediately.

Furthermore, he questioned detainees about police conduct and other matters concerning their cases.

The Sindh home minister warned that further surprise inspections would be carried out and stressed that no negligence would be tolerated. He directed all police personnel to remain in uniform while on duty, emphasizing that the primary responsibility of the police is to protect and serve the public.

Lanjar said strict action would follow if officers failed to meet their responsibilities.
