Shamim Bibi, a single mother of two, has been selling toasted corn on her cart at Karachi's Seaview Beach for the past 3 years, striving to provide for her family after her husband gave her divorce to marry another woman.

Following a divorce over a decade ago, Shamim, who endured both physical and mental abuse, took legal action to secure maintenance for her two children, an 18-year-old daughter in 10th standard and a 12-year-old son who works as a mechanic.

Despite the court order for child support, Shamim revealed that her ex-husband has stopped providing any financial assistance for the past three years, leaving her to shoulder the responsibility single-handedly.
