Gaza’s healthcare system is facing a dire shortage of medical supplies, forcing doctors to resort to unconventional methods like vinegar for treating wounds.
According to a report by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, the lack of essential medicines is severely hampering the treatment of injured individuals.
As a result, many wounds have become infected with "superbugs," which are resistant to most antibiotics.
Hospitals in Gaza have reported that 70% of the injured patients are infected with the superbug virus, compounding the healthcare crisis.
Doctors in Gaza have confirmed that, due to the overwhelming number of casualties and a lack of medical supplies, some have resorted to using vinegar to clean and treat wounds.
A "superbug" refers to bacteria that develop resistance to antibiotics, making most common antimicrobial drugs ineffective.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military continues its brutal attacks on refugee camps and hospitals in Gaza. Over the past 24 hours, more than 50 Palestinians have been killed.
The heavy rain has further exacerbated the suffering of displaced Palestinians, as water has flooded tents, adding to the challenges they face.
