French authorities have suspended an air traffic controller after he reportedly voiced support for Palestine during a communication with Israeli pilots.

According to media reports, the controller said “Free Palestine” while speaking to an El Al pilot as the airline’s aircraft was departing from Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport.

The airline’s spokesperson described the remark as serious, calling it unprofessional and inappropriate conduct while on duty.

The spokesperson further stated that El Al would continue operating its flights worldwide under the Israeli flag, ensuring the safety of passengers and crew.
