Four Muslim men were severely beaten by self-proclaimed "cow vigilantes" in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, highlighting the growing danger faced by minorities in Modi’s India.

According to eyewitness accounts, the victims were transporting buffalo meat — a practice not illegal under Indian law — when they were ambushed by a group of radical Hindu extremists.

The assailants forcibly dragged the victims out of their vehicle and beat them mercilessly with bricks, rods, and sticks. The attackers not only torched the vehicle but also looted their mobile phones and cash.

Three of the four victims were transported to a local hospital in critical condition, suffering from severe injuries sustained in the attack.

Disturbingly, video footage of the incident reveals that police officers were present at the scene but chose to remain silent spectators, failing to intervene or prevent the violence.

The victims later confirmed that the meat being transported was buffalo, which is not prohibited under Indian law, contradicting the mob's justification for the assault.

This brutal assault is being seen as a clear reflection of the Hindutva ideology promoted by the Modi-led BJP government, which many believe has emboldened extremist elements across India.

Human rights activists have expressed grave concerns over the increasing vulnerability of Muslims and other minorities in the country.
