A hospital in the southern Israeli city of Beersheva sustained huge damage during Iranian missile strikes, according to a spokeswoman for Soroka Medical Centre.

She confirmed the hospital was hit during the recent wave of attacks and stated, “We are currently assessing the damage, including injuries.” She added that there is “extensive damage in various areas” of the facility.

The hospital authorities have urged the public to avoid the hospital while emergency crews conduct damage assessments and attend to the injured.

“We ask that you not come to the hospital now,” the spokeswoman emphasised, as the situation remains fluid.

Soroka Medical Centre was one of Israel’s leading and busiest medical institutions, serving a large portion of the country’s southern region. It provides both routine and emergency care, and damage to the facility raised concerns about medical response capabilities amid escalating regional tensions.

Videos and pictures posted on social media platforms showed what appeared to be the aftermath around the hospital grounds, including damaged structures, shattered windows, and piles of debris.

The authenticity of the footage has not yet been independently verified, but it aligns with initial reports from the scene.

This incident is part of a larger escalation following missile strikes launched by Iran into Israeli territory, which have triggered widespread air raid alerts and damage reports across multiple cities.

Emergency services are on high alert, and assessments are ongoing as the situation continues to develop.
