US President Donald Trump, who took credit for securing the ceasefire in Gaza after 15 months of Israel's genocide, told reporters on Monday that he could not guarantee the sustainability of the truce.
“I have no guarantees that the peace is going to hold,” Trump metnioned to reporters.
Prime Minister Netanyahu is currently in Washington to discuss the second phase of the ceasefire with the new Trump administration.
This will mark President Trump's first meeting with a foreign leader since returning to the White House in January, a development Netanyahu called a symbol of the "strengthening of the Israeli-US alliance."

The next phase of the Gaza ceasefire would focus on the potential release of remaining Israeli prisoners and could pave the way for a more lasting resolution to the conflict.
Two weeks after the ceasefire came into effect, the Palestinian resistance group Hamas confirmed its readiness to begin talks regarding the details of the second phase, which could potentially lead to a long-term peace agreement, according to AFP.
