Ismail Haniyeh's daughter-in-law shares last image of Hamas leader reading Quran

The daughter-in-law of the late Palestinian resistance leader Ismail Haniyeh shared a poignant image of him reading the Quran during his last flight.

The photo, possibly taken while he was en route to Iran, was posted by Enas Haniyeh on her Instagram account with the caption "Last Journey, Last Photo."

Enas Haniyeh described the moment, stating that Ismail Haniyeh was reciting from Surah An-Nisa, verse 74, which translates to: "So let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. And he who fights in the way of Allah and is killed or achieves victory, We will bestow upon him a great reward."

In a heartfelt message, she emphasized that this moment signified his choice to prioritize the hereafter over worldly life, embracing the path of jihad with sincerity and faith.

She prayed for his acceptance as a martyr and for the elevation of his ranks.

It is noteworthy that Ismail Haniyeh was martyred on July 31st in Tehran during an Israeli attack while attending the Iranian President's inauguration ceremony.
