Israeli forces launched 30 airstrikes within a few hours in the southern part of Gaza's Khan Younis after issuing evacuation orders, leaving Palestinians scrambling for shelter during a relentless military offensive by the occupation army.
The eastern part of Khan Younis is under intense bombardment, with displaced Palestinian civilians reporting the sounds of heavy ammunition.
As Israel's war on Gaza completed its tenth month, at least 39,699 Palestinians have been killed, 91,722 wounded, and many others remain trapped under the rubble.
Exhausted families in Gaza find no respite, forced to flee their homes every few days.
The Israeli army continues to target schools and refugee tents housing numerous civilians with impunity.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor reported that Israel bombed nine schools in Gaza over eight days, killing 79 and injuring hundreds of Palestinians.
In a deadly attack on a school on Thursday, at least 15 civilians were killed, and 13 others were wounded.
Ceasefire talks are likely to begin, with negotiations set for August 15 in Cairo or Doha as Egypt, Qatar, and the USA work to ease regional tensions by inviting Hamas and Israel to the table.
However, the threat of escalation persists as Iran has vowed to retaliate following the assassination of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31.
As per International media reports, Iran is in talks with its regional allies, referred to as the “axis of resistance,” which includes Hamas, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, and various Iraqi militias.
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, directed his military to enhance its defenses and develop a strategy for an attack on Israel.
