KARACHI: Pakistan's Kishmala Talat has achieved the distinction of being the second-best female shooter in Asia in the women's 10m air pistol event.

This was announced in the latest annual rankings released by the Asian Shooting Confederation.

With a score of 1,350 points, Talat ranks just behind India’s Esha Singh, who tops the list with 1,500 points. In the women’s 25m pistol category, Talat holds the 29th position.

Talat conveyed her joy and appreciation for this significant achievement. “I am deeply honored and grateful to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey.”

Looking ahead, Kishmala Talat strives to enhance her performance in the upcoming year. “As I focus on 2025, I am setting new objectives. I am enthusiastic about continuing my training, learning, and challenging myself to represent Pakistan with pride and distinction.”

Earlier this year, the shooter made history by becoming the first female marksman from Pakistan to secure direct qualification for the Paris Olympics.
