Israel targeted missile storage facilities and key infrastructure sites in its latest wave of attacks on Iran, including a reported strike near a nuclear site in the city of Isfahan.
According to Iran’s Fars News Agency, an explosion was reported in the central city of Isfahan.
Following the blast, the city's air defence systems were reportedly activated, indicating a possible attempted interception or response to incoming aerial threats.
The deputy governor of Isfahan told the media that the site did not experience any leakage of dangerous substances.
The city of Isfahan houses the Isfahan Nuclear Technology Center, Iran’s largest nuclear research facility.
Providing further details on the Israeli strikes, the Deputy Governor of Isfahan stated that multiple cities across the province, including Linjan, Mobarakeh, Shahreza, and Isfahan, were among the targets.
