Tel Aviv: A severe manpower crisis is reportedly emerging within the Israeli military.
According to Israeli media reports, the Israeli army is facing a shortage of 12,000 personnel, raising concerns that military operations and combat missions could be affected.
The report stated that 5,300 women were recruited into the Israeli military in 2025, bringing the number of female personnel in the armed forces to a record level.
Israeli media further reported that 7,000 individuals from the United States, France, Australia, Russia, Ukraine and other countries have joined the Israeli military. According to the report, only Jewish individuals from foreign countries are eligible to enlist.
The report added that the prolonged conflict has placed increasing pressure on Israel’s military system, while fighting across seven fronts has significantly strained military resources.
Israeli reserve soldiers are also reportedly experiencing growing fatigue due to extended deployments. Meanwhile, the Israeli military has called for legislation to extend the mandatory period of service.
Military officials maintain that the current number of personnel is insufficient for ongoing missions and warn that the manpower crisis within the Israeli army could intensify further in the coming days.
