Israeli settler groups propose plan targeting 100 sites in West Bank's Area A

Israeli settler organizations have reportedly drawn up a plan targeting around 100 strategic locations in Area A of the occupied West Bank. 

According to Palestinian officials this move could significantly accelerate Israel's control over territory administered by the Palestinian Authority.

The Israeli daily Israel Hayom claimed that the proposal was prepared by the Settler Farms Association and the Havat Forum. 

The plan reportedly outlines a coordinated operation to deploy forces to approximately 100 sites across the West Bank on what it describes as an "execution day," with the stated aim of reshaping on ground.

The reported locations are situated in Area A, which, under the 1995 Oslo II Accord, remains under the Palestinian Authority's administrative and security control. 

The newspaper said the proposal has been presented to Israeli ministers and individuals close to PM Netanyahu and includes areas surrounding major Palestinian cities.

Muayyad Shaaban, head of the Palestine Liberation Organization’s Anti-Wall and Settlement Committee, described the reported plan as a dangerous step toward the annexation of the occupied West Bank. 

He argued that the proposal reflects broader policies pursued by successive right-wing Israeli governments rather than an isolated initiative by settler groups.

The report comes amid continued expansion of Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, a policy widely regarded as illegal under international law by the United Nations and most countries.
